When Lack Creeps In: Remembering Your Worth

Joclyn Kilpatrick • November 4, 2025

This week, I ran into that inner-jerk of lack again. You know the one. Lack likes to rear its ugly head from time to time and pull us into old stories of fear and scarcity.

I had a moment this week that sent me spiraling right into that space — questioning myself, feeling doubtful, and honestly, a little stuck. So, what did I do? I started breathing into a paper bag… kidding (mostly).

Your yoga teacher here, reminding everyone to breathe. But let’s be real, even yoga teachers have those moments where we’re tempted to grab the paper bag. So instead, I took a few deep breaths and reached out to a trusted friend and mentor — someone I knew would hold space and help me ground back into what’s true.

She reminded me to look at where things are thriving. To remember how capable I am, and to trust in my ability to always find my way. Within minutes, I felt myself come back home to my body, my breath, and my self-worth.

It got me thinking (per usual). I’ve probably written about this before, but that’s because I like to bring what’s real. I see it all the time — so many humans being way too hard on themselves. We compare, we question, and we fall into that feeling of not being or doing enough.

As we move into the busy, beautiful season ahead — where it’s easy to overextend ourselves on every level: physical, mental, emotional — I want to remind you to slow down. Ground back into your body. Notice where things are working. Give yourself some credit for all the ways you show up.

You are doing enough.
You are enough.
And you are worthy, always.

Lack doesn’t get to run the show unless we let it. So here’s to choosing abundance, grace, and grounding this month.

Sending love as we step into a new November.

Monthly Mantra Drop

  • I am abundant
  • I am worthy
  • More rest equals more peace
  • I am thriving
